In November, our team won two awards at the 18th Internet Effectiveness Awards ceremony.

Honestly – it’s great to see the work we do every day receive such recognition.

But what excites us even more is that the award goes to a project that truly delivers, bringing concrete results to our client. Let’s take a detailed look at it.

How It All Started

We’ve been working with UOL for some time. Previously, we created a successful website for their payroll accounting courses, so we understood how their customers think and what they need.

One day, we sat down with Jana Jáčová, the accounting firm owner, and put our heads together. We thought: What if customers had a complete overview of all courses in one place and could choose exactly what they need?

Instead of several separate websites – one central hub. Simple navigation. A few clicks and you’re registered.

So that’s what we built.

Who It Was For

The target audience is quite broad:

  • Accountants and tax advisors
  • Entrepreneurs who want to understand their accounting
  • Administrative assistants
  • Others interested in education in this field

What We Wanted to Achieve

1. Easy Purchase Process
No complications. Select a course, pay, and you’re in. We chose to go with proven tools we know well:

  • WordPress as the foundation
  • SimpleShop for e-commerce
  • Pays payment gateway for secure transactions

2. Intuitive Member Area
This was crucial for us. We didn’t want just a place to connect to live broadcasts and then watch recordings.

Our goal was to create a live version of a full-featured learning management system (LMS). That’s why we custom-built the member section.

When I think about why the project works so well, I see three key factors:

Jana Jáčová knew exactly what her customers needed. We didn’t have to guess or experiment. We had clear requirements and could focus on execution.

2. Proven Tools + Custom Solutions Where It Makes Sense
WordPress, SimpleShop, and Pays are tools we know inside out. We know what to expect from them and can quickly respond to any issues.

But we custom-built the member section. We invested time to ensure the user experience was truly excellent – and it paid off.

3. Fast Implementation
Two months from brief to launch. That’s important – when you have a good opportunity, you don’t want to wait six months for the website to be ready.

By the way – this is the second IEA award our team has won.
