Welcome in year 2009
Hi,
start of regular trading times is coming on Monday. Most of fund managers will return to offices.
So I expect that also volume will return to stock markets.

What we can expect from stock markets in 2009 ? I am not sure. I do not
have crystal ball. But I will analyze market movements and use my
trading rules based on this analysis. But generally say, I do not think
we can expect return of bull market this year. Some bear market rally
could be seen but also new declines.
Right now I already see some nice relative strength in some sectors
(see ETF list below). So I think that most of money will come into
these sectors or individual stocks respectively.
I used holiday to check my list of thoughts and ideas I had wanted to
improve or realize in 2008. Some happened , some need more work to do.
But the most important idea regarding strong using of stop losses (see
first issue in y2008) was completed. With success I think.
And it also produced its results. I had best year since start of my
trading carreer. So it proved that sticking to rules has sense.
And what was you major rule you wanted to do in last year 2008 ? Did
you succeeded ? And what have you prepared for Y2009 ? Let me know. I
will create list of most interesting points and publish them on my blog.

Is rally in bonds finished ? Bearish candlesticks on IEF chart can suggest that further decline is in front of us.
